Guidelines for Editorial Board Members
Journal of Biosciences and Public Health (JBPH)
1. Roles and Responsibilities
1.1 General Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality peer review and editorial decision-making.
- Promote the journal within academic and professional communities.
- Adhere to ethical publishing standards and editorial policies.
1.2 Editorial Review and Decision Making
- Recommend reviewers for manuscripts within their area of expertise.
- Make unbiased editorial decisions based on reviewer feedback and scientific merit.
- Address conflicts of interest and ethical issues in submitted manuscripts.
1.3 Contribution to the Journal’s Development
- Assist in attracting high-quality manuscript submissions.
- Contribute editorials, review articles, or special issue proposals when required.
- Suggest and invite guest editors or reviewers as needed.
- Communicate actively with the editorial team and provide suggestions for improvement.
2. Ethical Standards and Confidentiality
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and peer review processes.
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Avoid any bias or favoritism in manuscript handling.
3. Term and Appointment
- Editorial board members are appointed for an initial term of two years, subject to renewal based on active participation and contributions to the journal’s growth.
4. Benefits and Recognition

- A certificate of appreciation for active contributions.
- Priority consideration for publishing in JBPH with discount on APC.
5. Resignation and Termination
- Editorial board members can resign by providing a formal notice to the Editor-in-Chief.
- Non-compliance with editorial responsibilities, ethical violations, or inactivity may result in removal from the board.
